Task 2
These are photos from your photo album. Choose one photo to describe to your friend.
                                                           
You will have to start speaking in 2 minutes and will speak for not more than 2 minutes (12–15 sentences). In your talk remember to speak about:

 where and when the photo was taken
 what/who is in the photo
 what is happening
 why you keep the photo in your album
 why you decided to show the picture to your friend

You have to talk continuously, starting with: “I’ve chosen photo number… ” 

ШАБЛОН 

I’ve chosen photo number 1.

 While travelling I always take lots of photos and today I’m going to tell you about one of them.   Look at this photo. 

1.     I took the photo last year /during my summer holidays which I spent with my family in Moscow/  when I went (on excursion in Moscow with my class.) It was an amazing trip!

2.    In the foreground of the picture you can see ….   She/He  is wearing in …,which is not big but comfortable.  

In the background there is a … And the atmosphere here is ...(cozy,

3.     As you can see at this particular moment he is/they are probably V-ng (Pr Continuous) sitting on the sofa and readong an interesting book.

            He seems to be concentrated on reading but at the same time, he is  smiling which means he is enjoying what he is doing.

4.     I keep the photo in my album because it makes me remember every little detail of the time that I spent in ...(with my friends).

5.     I decided to show the picture to you because it carries pleasant memories, which I always like to share.

I wish you were with us! I hope that I will return there/to the country next year with you.

или As I know you are also keen on …. and maybe, the picture will give you some new ideas.

That’s all I wanted to say.

ШАБЛОН

I’d like to describe picture №…./ I’ve chosen photo number 1.

It goes without saying that family(sport/ school/reading) plays an important role in life of every person.

1.      The picture shows us the boy (girl/woman/men). It seems to me that he is at home.(at school/ at the café/ in the park).

2.      The boy is about 10 years old. He is tall and well-built (slim о девушках ) with short dark hair and blue eyes.  He is wearing a casual T-shirt and white shorts.

3.      The boy is sitting on the sofa. He is reading a book. He looks absorbed in reading.

4.      I like this picture because I am fond of reading interesting stories. Besides, the atmosphere in the photo is very positive and relaxing.

(I like the picture as it is nice/bright/colorful and full of positive emotions.)

That’s all I wanted to say.

Task 1
Imagine that you are preparing a project with your friend. You have found some interesting material for the presentation and you want to read this text to your friend. You have 2 minutes to read the text silently, then be ready to read it out aloud. You will not have more than 2 minutes to read it.

    The first maps were drawn by explorers to help them find their way home and show people where they had been. The maps showed the shape of the land, distances between places and special features, such as caves and old trees. Nowadays, maps show towns and villages, as well as roads, railways, rivers and mountains. Symbols are used to show all the different things on a map and there is a key to explain what the symbols stand for.
    Over the centuries, people explored most of the Earth and put together the map of the world we use today. Maps of the world or large areas are often either “political” or “physical”. The political map shows territorial borders. The purpose of the physical map is to show features of geography, such as mountains, soil type or land use, including roads, railroads and buildings.
